Regional Account Manager Foodservice France

Full-time – 38 hours per week

Koppert Cress, located in the Westland region of the Netherlands, is a grower of natural, innovative ingredients that chefs can use to enhance the flavour, aroma, and presentation of their dishes. Our assortment consists of freshly sprouted seedlings (cresses) and other edible leaves and flowers (specialties) sourced from 100% natural, aromatic plants.

What are you going to do?

As the Regional Account Manager Foodservice France, you will be the face of Koppert Cress in the South-Eastern region of France. You will build long-term relationships with distributors, leading chefs and other professionals in the gastronomy sector. Leveraging your experience and local network, you will identify opportunities and, together with your colleagues, capitalize on them.

You will begin by developing a concrete annual plan that aligns your commercial goals with a strategic approach. How will you maintain relationships with existing clients? How will you approach promising new accounts? How will you translate trends in the hospitality industry into actions that align with our product range? You will coordinate this with your manager and actively collaborate with colleagues in the sales and marketing teams.

Working closely with our team, you will organize training sessions, inspiration events, and demonstrations. Through this collaboration, you will creatively and effectively introduce our products to both existing and new clients. You understand the market; they understand the flavours, and together, you will delight the customer.

Although you have an independent role in your region, you are never alone. You will regularly consult with colleagues both domestically and internationally, share insights and best practices, and work together to improve processes and strengthen our customer relationships. You will closely monitor developments in the foodservice industry and translate them into targeted actions. Acting as the link between the customer and the organization, you will ensure that needs, opportunities, and feedback are directed to the appropriate departments, whether that be product development, marketing, or logistics.

Introducing new products? You will do so carefully, with support from the team. You will create introduction plans, organize samplings, and guide the customer in using our products. Naturally, you will keep a close eye on sales figures and make timely adjustments to achieve objectives.

You will also be active digitally: recording your activities in the CRM system and utilizing social media to share our products and inspiration with your network.

In short: you are an entrepreneur, advisor, relationship manager, and team player, all in one, with a shared mission to further strengthen Koppert Cress's position within French gastronomy.

What do we ask of you?

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial B2B role within the foodservice or fresh produce (F&V) sector;
  • A valuable network within the French foodservice market (distributors, end-users, chefs);
  • In-depth knowledge of the French hospitality scene, both locally and nationally, and the ability to speak the language of chefs;
  • Commercial drive and strong communication skills;
  • Self-reliant, entrepreneurial, and customer-oriented;
  • Preferably residing in the Marseille region and willing to travel regularly within the region (especially to Lyon and along the Mediterranean coast);
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent level of education;
  • Proficiency in English; fluency in French is essential.
